Aechmea recurvata var. benrathii
Family: Bromeliaceae Common Name(s): Grown by: David Feix, Berkeley This delightful small bromeliad is only 10” across and is hardy outdoors in the Bay Area. It has the darkest violet flowers of all the varieties of this species. The center of the rosette also turns a brilliant red. It is very easy to grow in part shade.
