Acacia iteaphylla
Fabaceae
Kathy Echols, Martinez

The genus Acacia contains numerous garden worthy species, most of which are well behaved, attractive small trees or shrubs. This one and the two following are drought tolerant, will grow in poor soils, prefer full sun and will take moderate frost.

Acacia iteaphylla has 4’ narrow pale bluegray leaves. New growth is pinkish and the profuse winter flowers Oct. to May are pale yellow and fragrant. It may reach 10’ tall and is native to Australia.
