Helianthus augustifolius Mellow Yellow
John and Barbara Hopper, Kenwood This is a soft but bright yellow form of the eastern U.S. swamp sunflower that is usually dark golden yellow. This form also blooms for a longer period, from mid-summer until frost. It requires summer water and full sun, and goes deciduous in the winter time. Photo by Jill Salmon |
