Alternanthera ficoidea 'Party Time' Family: Common Name(s): San Francisco Grown by: 2005, Bruce Peters (~200 species of annuals, perennials from tropical and subtropical central and south America) alternan = alternating antera = anthers (alternate anthers in the genus are barren of pollen) Bruce continues to share his fascination with plants bearing variegation, bringing in this scrambling grower to 18 inches bearing preternatually bright magenta patches on the leaves.
