Oxalis purpurea
Family: Oxalidaceae Common Name(s): Grown by: Kristen Yanker-Hansen, Danville All plants have their uses and this winter growing ground cover is ideal under decidous shrubs or trees where it can be confined to a single bed. Kristen uses it under roses. It has great shamrock-like foliage and large flowers in white, pink or purple. It is summer deciduous but survives summer water. It can spread rapidly and is difficult to remove so plan carefully where you plant it. Photo by Steve Morse |
