Nematanthus (unknown hybrid)
GESNERIACEAE The plant shown is probably one of William Saylors hybrids produced during the last 25 to 30years. He was working towards an ever blooming hybrid and this plant fits the specifications. It is a shiny, dark, evergreen plant, somewhat on the sprawly side, that produces orange goldfish flowers all year long. All species are from shaded regions in Brazil and this plant is not a cold hardy perennial, requiring winter protection. Kristen Yanker-Hansen, Danville |
