Celsia arcturus
Family: Scrophulariaceae
Common Name(s):
Grown by: Kathy Echols, Martinez

Celsia is a genus very similar to Verbascum and the yellow 1' flowers are very mullien-like.This is a small plant, rarely more that 6' tall. The green-grey leaves are in a rosette the first year, but can eventually develop a short trunk. It is usually considered to be a biennial, but it can live longer.

Almost drought tolerant, it does better with regular water and must have full sun. It hails from Crete and Asia Minor.
