Picea orientalis 'Silver Seedling'
Family: Pinaceae
Common Name(s):
Grown by: Bruce Peters, San Francisco

Often species of conifers mutate on the ends of branches and these 'sports' are propagated as cultivars. While Picea orientalis is a lovely large, dense tree in its own right, this variation is a true miniature with frosted white new growth giving it a variegated appearance.

Perfect for a bonsai pot, the plant will grow less than a foot in 10 years and should mature at two feet. Best grown in morning sun to part shade.
