Fuschia paniculata
Onagraceae Paul Savage, San Francisco This member of the fuschia family grows at altitudes of 6000 to 9000 feet in Mexico, and therefore can tolerate bay area temperatures. It blooms much of the year, starting in November, and butterflies and hummingbirds treasure its short flowers. Photo by Steve Morse |
