Petrocosmea nervosa
Gesneriaceae Katherine Henwood, Pacifica Shown growing in a container this was a 3" high x 4" rosette of hairy leaves quite similar to African Violets (Saintpaulia). Upright 3.5" stems bore outfacing purplish blue flowers about 0.5" across. This plant in native to the mountains of SE Asia, tolerant of cool nights and moderate day time temperatures in the 70s. |
