Nemathanthus 'Digby's Gold'
Gesneriaceae
Grown by Katherine Henwood, Pacifica.

The ancestry is Brazilian but most US plants show hybridity. It is one of the large "Goldfish Plants" with fine shining evergreen foliage and yellow flowers with "pinched mouths" and flowers on and of from Winter to Spring. It needs quite cool, moist growing conditions in semi-shade and moisture—ideal for Pacifica and Half Moon Bay. May also be grown in a cold room such as an unheated sunporch. Can get overbearingly large if well grown and not severely pruned!
