Verbascum bombyciferum
Scrophulariaceae Kristin Yanker-Hansen, Danville This species of mullein, like most, is a biennial. The first year it forms a foot high rosette of grey-white furry leaves and then the second year it elongates into a 6 foot or more tall white covered stem with yellow flowers. It is fairly hardy and moderately drought tolerant but must have full sun. Photo by Kristin Yanker-Hansen |
