Salvia apiana. Lamiaceae. "White or Bee Sage" This California native can reach 10 feet tall. The two inch oval leaves are silvery. The thyrsoid panicles may be four feet long. Individual flowers are white with a lavender cast produced by multiple lavender flecks and are circa 1/4" long.
